1. What is Paintball?

Essentially, Paintball is a game of tag which can be played socially or competitively with the aim to win various game modes. You must use specific paintball equipment (Marker/Gun, Goggles, 'Paintballs') to ensure you can play safely, all of which is provided by us.

A mixture of tag and hide and seek, you need to play Paintball to appreciate the game at its best. The game can be very tactical, or an exciting free-for-all depending on the field, and game mode you're playing.


2. Is it Dangerous?

Definitely not. Paintball is well regulated and 'Project Paintball Wagga' has staff which are trained to ensure your day is as safe as possible. Protective equipment, Safety Briefings and trained referee's are there for peace of mind. In fact, statistically Paintball is safer than Netball, all football codes and even golf.


3. Does it hurt?

Well, yes. It can hurt, but not as much as your friends will have you believe. In your provided clothes, with other protective equipment available and your adrenaline pumping a paintball hit may hurt, but only for a second or two.


4. What is a 'paintball'?

A paintball is a round, gelatine capsule which is filled with a non-toxic, biodegradable fill. It easily washes out of clothes, and won't harm the environment.


5. What do I wear?

'Project Paintball' will supply you with our own overalls to wear. Underneath you will want to wear light, loose clothing as heavy clothing might cause you to overheat. There is other equipment you can hire such as Gloves and Chest Protection as well as the option to purchase a Cricket 'Box'. Please note you must wear enclosed footwear, no individual will be allowed to take the fields in thongs, sandals or open-toed footwear. Joggers or Laced Boots are suggested.


6. How old do I have to be?

Currently in NSW the age limit is Sixteen (16). This may become as low as Twelve (12) in the future, check our Facebook often for updates. All players must bring ID on the day, Without ID you will be refused to play.


7. How much will it cost?

8. Can I bring my own equipment?

Absolutely, if you meet all licencing requirements and own your own marker, we will allow you to use it. However, If you don't own your own marker and want to play like the pros, we have great upgrade options available so you can mix it with the best of them.

As for protective equipment such as your own mask, our staff will quickly inspect it before play and provided it meets Australian standards, you will be welcome to use it. 


9. If it's raining, do we still play?

Yes! Rain or Sunshine, paintball is on. If for some reason there is adverse conditions, Project Paintball Wagga will contact your group organiser. After 3 years, we have only ever cancelled 1 group due to weather being too dangerous to play, this is extremely rare.
